En el a\u00f1o 2005 el empresario y fundador de la empresa catalana Bidons Egara S.L.,<\/span>\u00a0<\/b>Joaqu\u00edn L\u00f3pez<\/b>, cre\u00f3 junto a\u00a0<\/span>Eduardo Fern\u00e1ndez<\/b>, doctor y catedr\u00e1tico en la Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez (UMH) esta c\u00e1tedra universitaria de investigaci\u00f3n centrada principalmente en el estudio de la<\/span>\u00a0<\/b>Retinosis Pigmentaria<\/b>.\u00a0<\/b>Desde entonces y gracias a sus aportaciones econ\u00f3micas de forma altruista, se contin\u00faa avanzando a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o en las investigaciones pertinentes.<\/p>\n

El objetivo principal es ayudar a identificar los mecanismos comunes que se encuentran en muchas de las patolog\u00edas degenerativas de la retina y potenciar el apoyo cient\u00edfico y t\u00e9cnico a estas investigaciones, con el fin de contribuir al desarrollo de nuevas alternativas terap\u00e9uticas que puedan ayudar a mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas afectadas por estas patolog\u00edas.<\/span><\/p>\n
